There are hundreds of different high altitude options in the Alps for the keen walker who wants to take the next step. All trips on to glaciers need a qualified mountain guide, and depending on the difficulty of the route there may well be a maximum number of clients to each guide. Apart from the need to wear crampons, harness etc it is not always necessary to have any previous experience, as many of the routes are designed to be non technical. These are excellent holidays in themselves or can be used as a stepping stone to more challenging peaks in the future.

Getting there - There are a huge variety of options all within 3 hours of Geneva Airport

Accommodation - All grades of hotels, mountain lodges, and camping options are available.

Best suited to - Experienced trekkers - routes can be adapted to suit all standards.
